How cool are these pieces?? This is “teredo wood”, the holes are created from teredo navalis, a naval shipworm, which is a species of saltwater clam! These pieces are one of a kind and would create a very cool conversation piece for the next dinner party. No clams were harmed in the making of these slabs!
Our Teredo Slabs are Western Hemlock, kiln dried to 6-8% moisture content, and saw flattened. Limited quantity, appearance varies per piece. Available for purchase now!
